Disorganized Cyclone Rashmi can be seen moving ashore in southern Bangladesh.
A moderate tropical storm roared into Bangladesh from the Bay of Bengal late Monday, killing at least 15 people and injuring 200 others.
Cyclone Rashmi inundated hundreds of villages, destroyed several thousand mud huts and toppled utility poles over the south of the country.
The cyclonic storm also damaged local dams, which flooded vast tracts in Bhola and other coastal districts.
The flooding damaged many standing crops along Bangladesh’s coastal area.
Rashmi arrived almost a year after Cyclone Sidr caused massive devastation in the same area, leaving more than 3,000 people dead in its wake.
